    • We offer a range of timbers from around the world, catering to cabinet makers, joiners and craftsmen, and anyone passionate about working with timber. Visit our shop to see our extensive range of hardwoods and softwoods available in bulk in live edge or straight edge, or get a quote to cut to order.
  • Where do you source your timber from?
    • All over the world; we work with timber mills and purchase in bulk to minimize the costs of transport. We source only the highest quality timbers, straight from the forest.
  • How is your timber sustainably sourced and environmentally friendly?
    • We only source our timbers from FSC or PEFC-certified sources.
  • Can I request custom timber sizes?
    • Yes, visit our timber-cutting services page, download, fill in, and upload your cutting list and we will provide a quote (we aim for same-day quote).
Purchasing & Pricing
  • How do I place an order online?
    • Choose your product or service, enter the option you require from the dropdown menus, and fill in the quantity you need (number of m3 for bulk products).
    • Proceed to checkout and pay for the order. We will then send you confirmation of receipt and issue you with an invoice and tracking number.
  • Do you offer any bulk purchase discounts?
    • Sign up to our trade account for orders up to 5m3.
    • Call us for orders over 5m3 and we will apply an additional discount depending on the volume.
  • Can I get a sample before placing a large order?
    • Call us and we can arrange for a sample to be delivered to you.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
    • All of the usual, except for American Express.
Returns & Refunds
  • What is your return policy?
    • Goods should be inspected and accepted/declined upon delivery, where the title of the goods passes to the customer.
    • Timber is a natural product that is susceptible to discrepancies such as knots, warping or bowing. Timber Lot are experts and have decades of experience working with, supply and storing timber and we will always endeavour to supply the highest quality timber.
    • Any issues should be notified to us in writing, and we will remedy any issues as soon as possible.
Shipping & Delivery
  • How do you calculate shipping costs?
    • We do that for you automatically on checkout, sorry we only ship to the UK.
  • How long does delivery usually take?
    • For stocked timbers usually 2-3 days.
    • For bulk ordered timbers usually 5-10 days.
  • Can I track my order once it has been shipped?
    • Yes you will receive a tracking ID upon completing your order. Follow the link in the top menu for ID tracking.
  • Do you offer international shipping?
    • Currently no, however for bulk customers do call us and we can arrange shipping subject to minimum order quantities.
  • How are the timbers packaged to ensure they don’t get damaged during transit?
    • Depending on the quantity and type, usually, our timbers are palletised and wrapped to protect them from any knocks in transit.

  • What is your return policy?

    • Don’t hesitate to contact a member of our team for any questions about treatments and finishes, however, to preserve our risk of liability, you should always seek advice from suitable professionals and resources.
  • What are the moisture contents of your timbers?
    • Moisture content varies by timber type and thickness, which are listed in the technical information on our various product pages.

  • Are there any safety precautions I should take when handling and working with timber?
    • We can’t advise on safety practices, please contact the appropriate professional to advise on training and suitable practices for handling and working with timber.
  • How can I prevent timber from warping or cracking?
    • Take care in storing timber in a dry place, where air can circulate around the boards. Boards should be stored flat, horizontally. We would advise against storing timber outdoors or where moisture and sunlight can affect the timber.
  • Is your timber treated against pests and decay?
    • Our timber products aren’t treated unless they specify so. We take great care in storing our timbers and sourcing our timbers so that pest and decay is as limited as possible.

    • We only source our timbers from FSC or PEFC-certified sources.
  • How do you reduce waste in your timber processing?
    • The timber mills we work with have various waste reduction and recycling approaches for waste streams and we endeavour to do due diligence into these processes.
